Habits to Break In 2019
Eating Fast Food
2018 was the year of fast food for me. I don’t know why I was eating so much of it but I did. And I am not a big fast food person, never have been. My two biggest weaknesses were Wendy’s, the Chicken nugget meal!!! and Anything Chick-fil-A!!!! Not only was this habit bad for my health but also for my wallet, especially when your eating it at least 4 times a week. And though I am blessed with a very high metabolism, this fast food addiction made my cholesterol high. So in 2019 I want to cut back eat fast food to at least twice a month.
Going to Bed Late
For the last few months in 2018 my sleep schedule has been all out of wack. I can’t seem to fall asleep before 12 am or sometimes later and because of that I wake up exhausted, especially when I still have class in the morning. So I would like to stop going to bed late.
Instagram Explore Page
I know I am not the only person that can spend hours on the Instagram explore page. Instagram’s algorithm knows me and my desires more than I do. It’s really addictive and super unhealthy. As a blogger Instagram is a must so deleting the app is out of the question but giving myself a set time to use it is something I need to implement.
Over Planning and not executing
I am a very organized person almost to a fault. In 2018 I did a lot of planning but not a lot of executing. This is a habit I would like to break. Planning doesn’t mean anything without you actually implementing that plan. I need to stop saying “What I’m gonna do” and start saying “What I did”.
This goes hand and hand with the last habit to break. I have a tendency to push things off to the last minute. I do this when it comes to blogging and school. I will wait til the last minute to study or start a paper, or write a blog post.
Habits to Take Up
Try new recipes and new restaurants
I am so tired of eating the same things. This year I want to try new foods. So I would like to try a new restaurant once a month and try a new recipe twice a month. I really want to make this a priority for the new year.
I have always wanted to journal but never did it. This year I am gonna start, I think journaling will help me with my stress. My mind is always going 100 miles per hour, journaling is a way that I can get all of my thought out of my head and onto paper.
There is always a better way you can manage your time. I think that I am good at time management but I would like to get a whole lot better at it. This will help me stay on top off everything that I have going on in my life and free up more time for fun stuff.
Be more Social
I am a home body by nature. I just enjoy being alone with some amazing food, watching some movies, and that’s not a bad thing but I would like to get out more and experience new things.
What are some habits you would like to break or start this year?
