What to Wear In New York City

New York's fashion is simple, sophisticated, clean, and modern. When going to a city like New York you have to change up your style to adapt to your new environment, which I love doing. In New York it is all about looking effortlessly put together. Here are some things that are always good to wear in New York.

Tees - You can dress a t-shirt up or down,

Simple Bag or Backpack - A nice bag to tie you outfit together.

Flats or Sneakers - In New York you are always walking some where so a nice sneaker or flats are best.

Hats - A good hat in New York makes you look so cool.

Blazer/Leather Jacket - Can never go wrong with a blazer or leather jacket in NYC.

Statement Jewelry - If wearing something simple a little statement jewelry can go a long way.

Sunglasses - There is something about wearing sunglasses that make you look so sophisticated.

First Wine Tasting: Romano Winery

2016-07-17 10.39.40 1.jpg

Ok I officially turned 21 in January and I am just getting to going to my first wine tasting. I know that pretty sad right. Anyways I recently went to a Vineyard not too far from DC and I really  enjoy myself . The winery is call Romano and it was amazing. It is located in Brandywine, MD so if you live in the area you should definitely check it out. They have  calming and relaxing seating areas where you can set  and drink wine while look out at this  scenic view. The staff was welcoming and informative about every wine every they had. My favorites were The Rougeon (A semi-sweet red wine) and the Liberty ( A sweet white wine). Both of those were great and they also have these wine slushes that are to die for and are amazing on a nice hot summer day. The little local treasure was a great discovery and I can't wait to return.

New York City

I recently went to New York and this was my first time spending more than a couple of hours there and I have to say I really enjoyed myself.   I stayed at the Hudson hotel in the upper west side which had an amazing view from the terrace and an awesome courtyard. There was also a lounge in the hotel where you could get drinks, burgers, and fries. Oh and did I mention they had truffle popcorn. Yum! While there every morning we went to this dinner called The Flame and the food was so good and don't even get me started on the customer service there. It was out of this world, by the end of the trip our waitress new what we wanted before we said it. All the buildings we really tall and that was a big change because even though I live in a city (Washington, DC) the building here can only be a certain height.  When we went to Central Park I didn't realized that central park was so massive. We have been learning about the design process in school and the history behind it for my major so it was cool to see it in person.  NYC is so fast pace and there is always something going on but I can see why people love it so much being there is like an energy that I have never felt in a city before. I will definitely be coming back really soon, I have so much more to explore. Here are some pics from the trip.
