Thanksgiving Recipes to Try

It's that time of year where I pack on a few pounds only to make a new year's resolution to loose it. The best thing about Thanksgiving other than spending time with your family is all of the delicious food.  Here are a few recipes I would love to try this Thanksgiving.

Healthy Snacks

It's important to eat the right meals when on a healthy diet but it is also important to eat the right snacks as well. The snacks you eat in between your meals can make or break your diet. Your have to try to avoid that are high in sugar and artificial preservatives. So here are some healthy snacks that are easy, healthy and will give you the energy and motivation you need to stay eating healthy.

Greek Yogurt with Berries - Easy, Simple and Healthy.

A Banana - It is a good source of Vitamin C and potassium.

Oatmeal - A nice oatmeal recipe.

Light String Cheese - A great and fun way to get  calcium in you diet.

Carrots with Hummus - My Favorite!

Fruit Smoothie - A smoothie can give you that extra boost you need.

Dark Chocolate - It is rich in antioxidants and can reduce your appetite.

Popcorn - A snack with few calories.

Nuts - A handful of your favorite nuts, unsalted of course.

Sweet Potatoes Chips - A great alternative to regular potato chips.

The Fisherman's Inn

The Fisherman’s Inn - 3116 Main Street Grasonville, MD 21638

When I discovered the Fisherman’s Inn it was the best day of my life. If you love seafood like I do than you need to visit this place. It is right over the Chesapeake Bay bridge in Kent Island. I heard about the place and how good it was, everyone who live in that area rave about it.

Honestly I’d love to try every single dish on the menu but that wouldn’t be very good for my health! Though my favorite dish so far is the Shellfish Linguine it comes with shrimp, scallops, and lump crab meat, tossed with roasted red peppers, spring onion, and cilantro in shellfish cream sauce. Can someone say Yummy!

Overall it is an amazing place that I would recommend to anyone. If you happen to be in the Chesapeake Bay area please check it out, you will not be disappointed.
